Send FlowersCARY – Malissa Tranter, 41, of Cary, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Barrington.
She was born Oct. 20, 1969, in Libertyville.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, John; her cherished daughter, Danielle; her parents, Todd and Cathy Gannon; her brothers, Bill (fiancée Patty) Shattuck and Chuck (Deanna) Shattuck; her sisters, Teresa Shattuck, Tania (Brett) Pitzele and Jeannie Gannon; and her father and mother-in-law, Tom and Leslie Tranter.
The visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, with a celebration of life at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Danielle Tranter Education Fund, with checks payable to Danielle Tranter, www.scleroderma.org or www.phassociation.org.

Missy & I were the best of friends in High Shool. We were unseperatable! Even though we didn't talk much after I moved to Arizona...I always thought of her often. She was always in my heart, and now, my heart is broken. Love you Missy.

OH MY GOD! Missy & I were the BEST of Friends in High School. We were unseperatable! And if we weren't together, people wondered what or why. Even though we didn't talk much over the recent years...I thought of her often! She's always been in my heart. Now my heart is broken.
