Not sure what to say?

Steve,

It has been many years as well since I spoke with Mallory, although I counted her among my best friends from my days at USC. Even though we hadn't been in touch recently, I always felt that someday we would catch up with each other, and laugh at the wonderful memories we shared. I was devastated to learn a few months ago of her passing last year, and have only now been able to put my feelings into words.

Reading through the entries in this guest book, it comes as no...

Steve and family
Excuse me for taking a moment out of your busy lives. Last week I moved to a new residence in Xenia,Ohio. While unpacking boxes stored for years I came across a photo of Mallory . It caught me by surprise but instantly it made me reflect on how positive she was and how it made me feel when we met.Just to see it again after all these years made me smile and lifted my heart. I met Mallory through my brother who played football at USC. Mallory had come by with a friend of...

Mallory Prestlien 1984 "A light in her eyes"

It had been at least 17 years since I last talked to Mallory by phone, she was in Vegas at the time. Just last night I was searching the internet and came across the her name, and only to find it leading to her passing away in October. Mallory was so joyful in everything she did. While at USC we often laugned together many times, and she aways would brighten anyone's day. My memories of her at USC are very dear to my heart.I cannot tell you how saddened I am to know that she is no longer with...

Dear Friends,

I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the show of love expressed by all of you in the past month. The word that keeps being uttered from so many of you who've shared memories of my wife Mallory is "Spirit", and I hope that her spirit lives on through all of us.
"I will always try to make you proud." Those were the last words I was able to speak to Mallory when she was alive.
I hope she's proud of how we try to make the world a better place. ...

Dearest Steve & Family,
You are in my heart and prayers every day. I need you to know how lucky Mal was to find the love of her life, Steve. You gave Mal the love, support, security and family she so deserved. She loved you so very much. It was such a privledge to be in your wedding and to see just how happy you made Mal. You were her life, her true love, her everything. I need you to know I had Mal come to me in a dream just 3 days before she passed. She told me in my dream it was time...

Happy times celebrating at Grants for Bekki's Wedding

Our Dear Mal,our daughter,

Twenty Third Psalm
The Lord is my Shepard; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul;He leadeth me in the paths of rightcousness for his name sake, Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, thou annointest my...

Mal & Bekki at Birchfield Manor in Yakima

My Dear Mal, my sister forever,

So very many memories... from Jr. High & High School, my beautiful bridesmaid in 1988, your bridesmaid in NY, our Hawaii trip in 1979, our trip to Victoria, B.C. Those many evenings spent with Bob and Marcia, watching Dad's (Bob's) movies where he was "Cookie" in GI Blues, telling stories and watching Mom (Marcia) on Broadway and those Sitcoms! Helping you get ready for your 10th High School Reunion where you knocked them out with your beauty and grace....

To Steve and the rest of Mallory's family.
I was very saddened to hear of Mallory's death.
She was a beacon of light for anybody who crossed her path and I was one of the fortunate ones to have known her as a colleague and friend at New York 1.
I can only convey my deepest sympathy to Steve and Mallory's family. I will always remember her warm smile and boisterous laugh. Her spirit uplifted all of us.
We have lost a testament to humanity - much too soon.

I just got off the phone with Steve and heard of Mallory's passing. As I sit here at work with tears streaming down my face, I can't help but smile at every memory Mal evokes in me. From our first days at Ike, "Don't be a Cluck...Vote for the Duck...Mallory for Cheer !!!" Through both of our graduations and after. The Grizzly Bear Softball Games and Parties, my mom's wedding reception. I will never forget the trip that was made to take Mal to USC. Myself, my brother, his girlfriend and...
