Not sure what to say?

What a lovely human being Mallory was, her nature visible in her art. She left a beautiful visual legacy for the world. Thank you Mallory, I will miss you.

Over 25 years ago, I 'discovered' the sensitivity of Mallory Lake's hand in a gallery in San Francisco. Her pastel stopped me mid-step. The deep tones of blues and greens, hidden layers of lavender and accents of chartreuse perfectly captured my dreams and memory of Tuscany. This work continues to grace my walls and inspire my sense of place and mood. I never reached out to meet the artist but followed the growth of her sensitive body of work on-line... and tonight, am sad to read of her...

Such fond memories. I wasn't much until I met you. Totally unaware of life and nature until I met you. You were my educator, teaching me so much, about the natural world and life in general. we had so much fun, Even though our time together was relatively short, you made it one I'll never forget. Thank you so very much.

Ode to Mallory, for Bob

O Mallory, sylph of the flowers
How you graced us with your presence
Always steady and serene, you stood
amongst us quiet and sublime,
never edging to the fore yet always
There, with smiles, a gesture, a quizzical look.
Subtle beauty you were,
and with your eyes
created wonders with your powdery colors
for us to revel in, to remember,
and to never forget the love and beauty
you shared with...

She taught me alll about flying. She convinced me we could soar and do we found our way to the top of fences and leaped into space wishing we were Robins... Mallory convinced me that we had the power to exceed the limits of a young child's growing legs and inquisitive mind. She introduced me to sea glass that we gathered at the shore, and we tucked it away like two pirates that came upon treasures. We loved the way the glass was midty and dreamy like clouds.. and we escaped to our secret...

A lovely person who lit up the art world. We will miss you, Mallory.

My childhood friend & cousin. I'll miss you. Love, Jef

Will always love you and the life we had together. Greg Schmidt

She was a beacon of light in my otherwise dull life. She shined brightly. Love you forever.
