I played for Coach Morgan in 1947, his first Lanett team, and in 1948 and 1949, his first undefeated, untied team. He transformed Lanett football from perennial losers to winners. And he did it with class. He was a wonderful role model and mentor, not only for Lanett High School athletes but for all who were priviledged to be touched by his quest for excellence. Thanks, Coach, for the lessons.
