CHATMON, Mrs. Mamie Lucille-age 63, passed away Friday, October 16, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. The final resting place for Mrs. Chatmon will be Gracelawn Community Cemetery, Flint, MI.
Mrs. Mamie Lucille Chatmon was born December 15, 1952 in Ashby, Alabama the daughter James Brown Jr. and Mattie Lee Moore. She was a resident of Flint and a graduate of Flint Central High School. She was a member of In the Name of Jesus, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Lucille had a passion for sewing, quilting, casino trips, bingo and entertaining family. She loved her children and her family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Aaron C. Brown; daughters, Simone R. Brown both of Flint, MI and Iletha Lee Brown of Pittsburgh, PA; stepchildren, Dawanda Joe Lewis and Charles Lomax of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Makylela Char'mae Chapman, Gwendolyn Marie Jones and Asia Meonna Chapman; mother, Mattie Lee Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA; brothers, Doanld Jerome Brown, Ronald Brown, Edward Brown all of Pittsburgh, PA, James Christopher Brown of Montevallo, AL; sisters Olivia Chaney of Wilton, AL, Delta Lee Fowler, Cynthia Rosemond, Annie Brown, Kimberly Brown all of Pittsburgh, PA and Lisa Brown of Montevalllo, AL; uncle, George Moore of San Francisco, CA; a host of other relatives and friends including, special sister-in-law, Debra Busey; special friends, Denise Dukes, Bobbie Kemp, Dorothy Tibits, Diane Poplar and Dora Williams.
Mrs. Chatmon was preceded in death by her husband, Lomox Chatmon and son, Daymond Darnell Brown.
The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the medical facilities in Flint and Arizona.
