Not sure what to say?

Dear John and Family,

We were Mamie's across-the-street neighbors at Tina's old house until we moved to Baltimore in 2000. We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Mamie's death in her neighbors' Christmas card.

Mamie was such a terrific neighbor and cook! She had those rare values of always being ready for company, graciously offering a huge meal at a moment's notice. Tom and I enjoyed so many of her Italian dishes.

I felt a special affinity...

John,

Sorry for your loss.

Jeremy

Dear John:
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I didn't know Mamie but if she was anything like her brother, she was a wonderful person. God Bless.

John, please accept our deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your sister, Mamie. The stories about her that you shared with me were both heartwarming and inspiring. Our thoughts, prayers and support are with you.

All of your friends at ACM.

Mamie Saletta, Christmas 2002

I am one of Miss Saletta's Spanish student from Steinmetz High in the mid 1950's. I always remember what lovely lady she was as well as an excellent teacher. That impression has lasted 46 year! God Bless you as a family in your loss, but I know you will always have wonderful memories!

You and your sister Christina, were good friends to me when I was new to Chicago. I will never forget your kindness to me. May you rest in peace.

John and Jan: Please accept my deepest sympathy. Our families are dwindling more each year it seems. I am sure Mamie had a wonderful life but now is in a better place.
Love, Marie
