Not sure what to say?

Heartbreaking another heavenly Birthday just past Manny and soon another year past since you left this world - we will never forget the love you had for the Macy's Parade all of the fans. R.I.P sir with your family and Macy's co-workers

Another year marking the loss of legendary Macy's Parade genius Manfred Bass - the parade staff continues to change rapidly and if not for Manny's leadership and mentoring of a few of the still there staff who knows where we would be. RIP Manny we sure do miss you!

Three years went by in a flash --- The Macy's Parade and the people of the world who loved your work have all lost so much when we lost you. You and Jean are back together and I bet you are creating some real great events up in Heaven. Robert M. Grippo

Yesterday, friends and I were discussing Macy's Day Parade, and I had the pleasure to say that I was an Irvington, NJ High School graduate with the designer of the Parade. I remember walking home from school with Manfred. So I looked him up on the computer. I was so saddened to see his obituary. May God bless his family. Pat Krezel Class of 1954.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Manfred Bass. I am the sister of Valerie Lagauskas who worked closely with Manny on the Macy's Parades and who passed just days before Manfred did on September 15, 2017.
I also worked with Manny 'building the floats' in the NJ warehouse. Wonderful memories keep our loved ones with us - RIP.

Fred, you were a great guy. I wish that I had had more time with you and Carl - a wonderful time at Ft Benning. I only saw you once when we got out - not enough! Forever in my memory - Jim Lesko

John and myself knew Manfred for a number of years (john did 20 Parades) he also sold to manfred from the industrial supply companies he worked for. Manfred always had a Smile and a Handshake or hug for us. He included us in the macy's family. We wish peace and Comfort for his family. What a Wonderful Parade there will be in heaven. Love John and Faith Tkach

Sincere condolences and sympathy to wife Marion and the family whom Manfred was so proud of and loved so much. My friendship with Manfred was a gift from the beginning. From being a fan to becoming a friend.....and appearing with Manfred in a speaking engagement for The Lighter Than Air Society in Akron, Ohio and at a special screening of the special "Inside Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" in which we both appeared. During his years with Macys he always made time to talk to me. Manfred's...

Our deepest sympathy for the loss of Manfred . Great memories of time spent with your family.
