I've just heard the sad news about Manfred. He was truly a wonderful man and I will miss him terribly. Please know that you and your daughter are in my thoughts.

Dear Toni and Monika

We recall many years in the 80's and 90's of skiing and patrolling with Manfred. Matt would always look for him while he skied the mountain with the Mighty Mites, and Chris loved the pastries he brought to the patrol room. His ability to exude warmth, friendliness and support is without peer. While we mostly talked about skiing, in later years we shared a common love of helping small, specialty baking companies become more successful. His sense of wonder and his...

Dear Toni and Monika, I am so sorry to hear of Manfred's passing recently. I have fond memories of Manfred and Herb Leibrock drinking coffee/brandy at Gold Coast Lodge and just simply chatting, sharing good times, and being with friends. Such warmth permeated all that I remember of Manfred. He left us with such fond memories. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. Fondly, Robert Park

Dear Toni and Monika,
I was shocked and saddened by the news that Manfred is no longer of this world. I have not had the pleasure of meeting you, but I met Manfred in 1985 when I left Sedalia, Missouri to go to SSFCA to start my new job at Fantasia. I was intimidated at first because Manfred was such a force to reckon with, but I soon found out that "The Force" was with him! Over the years it was such a privilege for me to see Manfred sometimes when he visited Missouri. (Even though I...

Toni and Monika-
I am so glad that I got to know Manfred. His jubilant attititude always made Lake Tahoe winters feel warm even in freezing cold weather.
With love and condolences,
