My prayers goes out to Doreen and family. My compadre Manuel "gato" carretero was a wonderful and caring man. I remember when he was coaching the Atlas team. He was a great coach and took couching seriously. I also remember him doing improvements on his house. He always kept busy. You will be missed by family and friends. Descansa en paz.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family. I was glad to have met you even if we didn't know each other for long. Know you were loved by your amazing family. Such a strong man all the way till the end.

El Gato was my first boss as a construction laborer. We met working on the Fairfield Hall of Justice building (where we worked for christensen & foster) in June 1974. Manny taught me a lot about work and about growing up I will see you in heaven my good friend!!
