LARA, Mr. Manuel, Jr.-age 70, of Flint, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 2316 W. Coldwater Rd. Flint, MI 48505. Deacon Omar Odette officiating, The final resting place for Mr. Lara will be Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. Calling hours are 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm with a 5:30 pm Rosary Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel 3021 S. Dort Hwy. Flint, MI 48507. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made at the service.
Mr. Manuel Lara, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Benita Blackmon; granddaughters, Delanie and Chelsea Koteles; grandson, Kenneth Blackmon, Jr.; 2 great-grandsons, Ronald Fox and De?Vante Thomas; 2 brothers, Juan and Carlos Lara; 5 sisters, Raquel Brown, Maria Shoup, Minerva Witt, Margaret Salinas and Mary Ellen MacFarlane.
Mr. Manuel Lara, Jr. was preceded in death by: parents, Manuel Sr. and Lucia Lara; 3 brothers, Juan R., Manuel G., and Ricardo Lara; 1 sister, Dora Jesiek.
The family would like to express special thanks to Sheldon T. Banks and Staff and Hurley Medical Center, 5 East.
