Lavin, Manuel age 62, on Oct. 11, 2005. Preceded in death by his father, Manuel Lavin. Survivors include wife, Rita; mother, Isabel; 2 daughters, Francesca Lavin, and Danielle Lavin- Loucks (Ryan); 1 granddaughter, Zoey; stepchildren, Laura (Sean) Smith and Sara Hauber; 1 sister, Isabel (Barry) Sandywell; and many loved ones in Spain & England. A celebration of life open house will be held from 2-5 PM on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Van Dusen, 1900 LaSalle in Minneapolis. I was sadden to learn of Manuel's death. I worked with Manuel for many years and he was a always cheerful and ready to help where he could.

My thoughts are with you and your family. Manuel was a wonderful person who shared your zest for life. I remember our great conversations about his amazing travels, taste and knowledge of wine, compassion for the community, and his commitment to family.
