Manuel J. "Boo" Leal, Jr.

Manuel J. "Boo" Leal, Jr.--36, A resident of Somerville passed away unexpectedly at home.

Boo was the cherished son of Darlene Kline and her husband Alan of Lynn and Manuel J. Leal, Sr. of Somerville. He was the longtime partner of Ashley Moran of Somerville and the devoted father of Gavin and Bianca Leal. Boo was also the dear brother of Kenny Leal and Adam Leal of Somerville and the loving grandson of Charles LaVoie and his wife Barbara of Brockton and Mary LaVoie of Malden and the late Alberto and Zelia Leal. He was the uncle of Masen and Kenny Leal, Jr. and is further survived by his Godmother Lisa LaVoie-Gay  as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral procession was held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) in Somerville on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Ann Church at 11 o'clock. Relatives and friends were invited to attend. Calling Hours were held on Monday, September 19, from 4-8 p.m. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
