Manuel Martinez, 64, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at his residence in San Benito, Texas surrounded by his loving family.


Manuel was born on September 19,1960 to Andres Martinez and Juana de los Santos in San Benito, Texas.


He is preceded in death by his father, Andres Martinez; brothers, Andres Martinez Jr., and Arturo Martinez.


Manuel attended public school in San Benito, Texas. He enrolled in the United States Marine Corp at the age of 17, where he proudly served his country and was honorably discharged.


Manuel leaves behind his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, three sons, Rolando Herrera Sr. (Christie), Vincent Martinez, & Spencer Martinez (Whitney); grandchildren, Brandon Villarreal, Rolando Hererra Jr., Randy Hererra, Brody Hererra, Alison Hererra, Maddison Hererra, Sofia Martinez, Emmitt Martinez, Kennedy Martinez, & Trinity Martinez; siblings, Mary Esther Lengel, Mary Plata (David), Armando Martinez, Linda Trevino (Henry), & Rebecca Morales (Daniel); mother, Juana Martinez, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with full military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 205 at 5:30 p.m. and a Celebration of Life at 6:00 p,m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.

I knew Manny for about three years in transportation, I will always look for him to get him coffee then I found out he was a veteran. I will always get him tacos and we always talk about our Corvettes rest in peace my friend see you on the other side
