Manuel Valeiro Medeiros

Manny came to Cortland in the fall of 1970, and stayed. Rooms did light up when he walked in. He lived music and he lived teaching. Condolences to Denise and family.

July 16, 2023. 50th Wedding Anniversary Party for my brother John and wife Kathy. Cousin Manny on the dance floor with me. Smiling. Laughing. Moving to the music. Age 89. Didn't miss a beat. Rhythm in his soul. I will cherish that dance forever. With great sadness I send my condolences to Manny's lovely wife Karen, his daughter Denise and family. Manny's joy and love of music brought inspiration and happiness to all who knew him.

In loving memory of my cousin, Manny, I extend our heartfelt sympathies and prayers to Karen and their family and friends. To know him was to love him. A kind, gentle, good-hearted man, very intelligent and talented. I feel blessed to have been a part of his family, through my father, and pray that Manny will rest in eternal peace.

We are sorry to hear of your loss. Your father, as you well know, contributed to so much at Cortland High. Both of our children worked with him. Nick and Kate Pukstas and benefited from his enthusiam. My daughter Kate was a good friend of your brother Jason and still feels sad about his passing. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

I am so saddened to hear of Manny's passing. He was my high school choir teacher, and I also sang under him in our church choir. He was the best and will always hold a special place in my heart. I will look for details on a service or celebration of life in Cortland, and am sending my condolences to Manny's family and loved ones. <3

I remember him well. Always a gentleman, smile and genuinely happy to see you. Such a talented man and will be missed by many.
