Manuel Rivas, Sr. passed away peacefully on December 12,2013, at his home in San Francisco at the age of 88. He was the loving husband of Polly Rivas for 52 years, and is survived by his two children, Polly Diane Rivas (her husband, Perry Westbrook) and Manuel Rivas, Jr....

So sorry to hear of Manuel's passing..we have been thinking and talking about him at the Olympic Club over the last few days. I still think of him as "Papa" Rivas, as he was affectionately called by many here. He knew my grandfather way back in the 1950-60's up in Boyes Hot Springs. Our sincere condolences to all.
