Please accept our deepest condolences about your father

Dear Rojas's
He was a truly lovely man, with a truly lovely family. Even though I have not actually heard his voice in over 25 years, I can hear his gentle, welcoming and happy voice like it was yesterday. You are special people and he and your Mom can take great pride and credit. The secret was the deep love that your Dad and Mom shared.

The Berwyn Heights home was a happy and fun place. That doesn't just happen. Your folks love for each other and their family was, and...

I remember visiting the Rojas family and feeling so special. Mr. and Mrs. Rojas were so friendly and gave me gifts I still have today 25+ years later. Mr. Rojas was a good man, he was very proud of his family and their ideals. My heart goes out to you who have to suffer the loss. But remember his legacy lives on in his children and grandchildren.

I knew Manuel from Catholic U., where I was a student. He would sometimes catch a ride with me and my mom (who also worked at CU) to Berwyn Heights, and he would help me work on my Italian. We always had a great time, and laughed the whole way. He was a lovely man, and I'm glad to hear he had a long a happy life. My condolences to the family.

The entire Barkley family will miss Manuel. The memories of his deep, resonant, friendly voice. Seeing his friendly face walk down the street. His generous spirit and interest in everyone he met. His entire family was part of our childhood in Berwyn Heights. May he be granted eternal rest. Susan Barkley Hunter

There is no way to measure how many lives Uncle Manuel has touched with his infectious smile and love of life. The beauty of who he is traveled like sun rays. If I can be one half the person my uncle was I will have lived an amazing life and one very pleasing to God.

I have fond memeories of your father from when I worked with him at Catholic University in the 60's. His smile was always a welcoming sight, his kindness and the love of his family was something I shall always remember. What a gift to have a father like this- He was a wonderful role model for all. He shall be missed. Your family shall be remembered in my prayers. I am sorry for your loss.

What a beautiful difference one single life made...You will be missed....With Deepest Sympathy...Dorothe and Family
