We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Ruiz Family know that we recently made a small donation to the Seven Stars Foundation to honor Manuel Antonio Ruiz US Navy Corpsman Petty Officer 3rd Class. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals across the American youth hockey community and beyond. Manny was my friend and mentor from 2nd Med battalion, he signed off most of my FMF book and taught me more than I would have known without him. Every year on this day I always take the time to remember him for the friend that he was to me. I am so sorry that you lost such a great person. The world finds great sorrow without him. I miss him, I know you do more than I. So much love from the mitten state.

It has truly been my honor to sign Manuel's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Manuel will always be remembered in my home.

There is not a single day that goes by where I dont think about Manny. Everytime i hear a helicopter fly by I cant hellp but smile just from the thought of the look on your face from when we flew. You are missed and loved and ost of all never forgotten.

On this Memorial Day, I want to say thank you to Petty Officer 3rd Class Manuel A. Ruiz. Thank you for all you did for your country. May you rest in peace. You will never be forgotten.
