I and my family were living in New Mexico in the 1970's, and we were often able to watch the Mexican shows from Mexico City that we could pick up on our t.v. antenna. One of those shows was "Ensalada De Locos" starring Loco Valdez. My family is not Hispanic, nor did we speak a word of Spanish, but we knew that Manuel Valdez was a truly gifted performer, an icon for the ages. He made us laugh in the universal language of comedy.
