Solis Ramos Manuela Solis Ramos, 88, of Midland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born on September 15, 1926 in Palmira, Coahuila Mexico. She later met and married the late Martiniano Ramos on September 27, 1947 in Palmira, Coahuila. The couple moved to Ferris, Texas, Eagle Pass, and finally settling in Midland. Manuela was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of San Juan and San Miguel Arcangel Catholic Church. She was also in the Cursillista Movement. Manuela enjoyed telling stories, singing, and reading her Bible. She was a faithful lady and a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed greatly by all her family and friends. Manuela was preceded in death by her husband, Martiniano (Martin) Ramos; and three sons, Martin Ramos, Jr., Prisiliano Ramos, and Jose Manuel Ramos; four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her children; three sons, Juan Ramos, Jesus Mario Ramos, and Israel Ramos, all of Midland; six daughters, Santa Molina, Graciela Aguilar, and Susana Rodriguez, all of Midland, Maria Luisa Webber of Donna, Texas, Consuelo Ramos of Midland, and Maria Nieves Espinoza of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Manuela Solis, Santos Solis, and Jesus Solis, all of Eagle Pass; three sisters, Julia Cardenas and Maria Villarreal, both of Eagle Pass, and Roberta Ibarra of Seguin, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins. A rosary will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service is set for Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at San Miguel Arcangel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
