Not sure what to say?

Marc and I attended high school (Baltimore Polytechnic) together and were teammates on the football and lacrosse teams. We carpooled to team practices, games after school and on weekends and the bagel shop where he worked. Marc's nickname was Jake - a one syllable truncated version of Jacobs that we could easily call out on the field and off the field. He was admired by all.
May his memory be a blessing.

Marc and I were frat and lacrosse 'bros at Brown. When we met up a couple of years back he noticed me limping around and asked me if I'd done anything since I sprained my ankle at a lax game in 1970. When I told him I had been told it was beyond repair connected me with some colleagues in osteopathic surgery. I got an ankle replacement and it was life changing. That was Marc, going out of his way to help an old friend.

I too am a Brown class and team mate of Marc's who appreciated seeing him at the reunion. I have only good thoughts of our time at Brown.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Marc's passing. We spent four years together at Brown playing lacrosse together as part of the same great defense. We worked together, ate together and won together. I saw Marc at our mini reunion celebrating our first Ivy League championship. And looked forward to our 50th and more games together. Marc was brilliant, hardworking and a wonderful person. My deep condolences to his family for losing him so young.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Marc’s unexpected demise. It was his time to enjoy his retirement after all the years of hard work. Gone too soon. He was a true gentleman - kind and respectful towards everyone. My heartfelt condolences to the Jacobs family. May he RIP.

I instructed Marc for many summers and the Jersey Shore. He was gentle, intelligent and a true empath. Everyone he came in contact with had a better day. I looked forward to our lessons and those hours will live in my heart forever.

My cousin Marc was one of the nicest people I've ever known, and I was always struck by his wisdom and warmth. Whenever I saw him, he always seemed to somehow be even wiser and nicer each time. My condolences to Sandy, Drew, Allyson, Betty, and your family. This is a very sad loss. Please take care.

It was an honor to have know Marc. He was a very nice person and always a pleasure to work with him. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Marc was my freshman roommate for Brown University's Class of 1971. We actually met during the summer before starting school because, in an unusual quirk, Brown assigned as roommates two individuals from the same town, Baltimore. Typically, they liked to pair people from different locales to create diversity. In any case, Marc and I became instant fast friends, as we were both lacrosse players (isn't everybody in Baltimore?) and were both planning on studying engineering.
