I had a memory trace of Marc this afternoon and Googled him to get in contact, only to find this obituary that describes the Marc I imagined he'd become. Marc and I were Berkeley roommates in the mid-'60s at 2019 Channing Way. We lost touch in body but not in spirit. Those were magical years that had a deep impact on my life, and Marc was surely a very integral part.

Mr. Mager was such a wonderful person. He was my math instructor in Washington Middle School. I remember he only used his red pen! May God bless your family in this time of sorrow. My most sincere condolences to your family.

Marc hired me many years ago to teach at Washington School. He was always supportive and I felt I could always go to him for advice or help. God rest you, Marc!!

When Marc was Principal at Washington School I was the Secretary. At that time we were still using the electric typewriters. Well, of course that was the beginning of computers and I told Marc I didn´t want to use it and that I would stay with the typewriter. But he said he would teach me. I told him if you yell at me I quit. He was the most patient person ever. Very caring and understanding. I´ll miss you Marc-Rest in Peace
