Not sure what to say?

I was thinking of Marc this morning. It has been a long time, since I heard of his passing. He was a wonderful friend at Yale. He was brilliant and clever. I remember how he hated to wear shorts (telling me that he didn't like the look of his legs). Both of us being from Florida, it was so hard for me to imagine not wearing shorts in hot weather. He always put a smile on the faces around him. He is missed.

Wow, I’m shocked to read of Marc’s passing. I saw a promo for the movie Boys State and it made me think of my time there in 1991 (hosted by Florida State University). Marc and I lived on the same floor of the dormitory for a week while we participated in several civic activities and learned about government. The highlight of the experience was when Marc won the Governorship of the whole FL Boys State conference and went on to represent FL at Boys Nation. I remember him as very smart,...

It's been 10 years now, and not a day goes by that the family and I don't miss Marc terribly. He was a smart, funny, and compassionate man. A man going places and doing the things he enjoyed and was passionate about. Our lives hold an empty space where Marc once dwelled.
He'll always be in our hearts and memories. May he continue to rest in peace.

Love you always, Marc.

I lived down the street from Marc in Garland when he was in high school. We lost touch when he moved away. I still remember his laugh and his wit.

My prayers and condolences to Marc's family. Marc was one of the most loyal, genuine and interesting people that I have ever met. He always took the time to see how you were doing and he was very helpful. Marc will be missed.

I am receiving this terrible news almost a year late: I knew Marc well, both at Yale and in Germany (where we met). My deepest condolences to his family on this tragic loss.

I am always stunned and saddened whevever I learn of the passing of a young person I have known. Marc joined our student body in his junior year, I believe. Although I did not teach him, I was aware of his talents through his activities on campus. Each morning he delivered the announcements with a fellow student, Alvin Dowling, another outstanding young man. I got to know Marc somewhat through his participation in a national contest. I remember complimenting him on his choice to attend...

I don't know if this guest book is still active, but I just read of Marc's passing in the Yale Alumni Magazine. This is very sad news. While I did not know him well, I do remember chatting with him a number of times over the years we shared in our residential college at Yale. He had a sharp wit, a wonderful laugh, and he always left me smiling. To everyone in Marc's family, I am very sorry for your loss, but I am grateful for having known him.

This makes me so sad. Marc was a gift.
