Not sure what to say?

I was in Afghanistan near the end of our involvement there. We were getting rid of everything. I found a memorial in white stone the HM Retmier. I'm sure he was a wonderful person if someone made this memorial. I brought is back to the States. I would like to get it to his relatives. 314-931-6509

He is still remembered.

I will never forget when I received the news from my son that, day. I cried like if you were my own son and thinking of the pain, your mom was gonna feel and carry for the rest of her life. I never got to meet you or your family, but they have a special place in ours. As we also have a Marc Retmier, named in your honor and memory.

Its been many years, but I still remember you. I remember your smile, how giddy with excitement you were to learn fighting techniques just to do gate duty at Bethesda. I remember when you told me you were leaving for Afghanistan and I told you we'd get drinks when you got back. A piece of everyone's heart who knew you was stolen that June 18 and none of us will ever forget.

He is still remembered.

I lived in "The PRT Building" at FOB Sharana, just a couple doors across the hall from Marc Retmier. I wasn't a member of the PRT team, but when I arrived on the FOB in March 2008 to open a Contracting office, he as the first to reach out and genuinely welcome me. I admired young men like Marc for being so fearless in the middle of Taliban country. He was wise beyond his years, and understood we were fighting for the hearts and minds of the Afghan people. We talked about having freewill...

Brother, still remembered! Sometimes I can sleep thinking of the tragic moment we loss you! I should have gone deployed with you when you ask me to join forces with the Marines at Camp Lejune. Is hard to remember events that can't be change, but we were so young, kids out from high school trying to get some new adventures. Love you bro!
