I did not know Marc and I come from another sea going navy across the Atlantic but I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Marc's family. It is very sad when a member of the naval armed forces Crosses the Bar irrespective of their nationality.

I watched this sad burial and it reminded me of a poem that I memorised for my son's funeral. This poem seemed to fit the life and times of Marc. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. I don´t know Marc but I was so touched by the video of his burial at sea and the beautifully written words of his obituary. It is clear that Marc loved life and that he was so loved. Prayers for peace and comfort to all that knew and loved him. God bless
