McCann-Healey Funeral Home - Gloucester City Obituary

Marc Christopher Russell, 50, born August 27, 1971 in Salem, New Jersey, entered into the arms of His loving Savior Jesus, on December 22, 2021. Marc is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Christina (Ward) Russell; father, John Faughnan Russell; mother, Gaye Diane (Nocon) Ishuin; brothers, John II, Jason, Jeremy, and Jesse Russell; sisters, Julianne Russell and Tifanie Ishuin; uncle, Gary Nocon; aunt, Lori Nocon; cousins, Rachael Handrinos, Lisa Spitale, Kathleen Griffith, Gary Nocon Jr., Jennifer Nocon; and nephews, Dominik, Cristian, Jakob and Carson Russell.

Marc resided in Paulsboro, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School, class of 1990. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Persian Gulf War. Music was a passion in his life, and he spent many years with his band, Allegiance, in which he was a singer, songwriter, and keyboard player. He regularly attended Calvary Chapel South Jersey (formerly Calvary Chapel Bellmawr), where he also was part of the worship team, either leading on guitar, or as the keyboard player. Marc had a passion for outreach to others. He especially liked to go on mission trips with his church. The most memorable was the trip to India with Pastor Harry. Marc went on many mission trips to Mexico where he was such an instrument in God's hand. Marc and Harry also loved to play the old worship music together, whether it was on a mission trip or on stage at church when no one was in the sanctuary. Marc loved vacationing in Florida, especially Disney World, and also Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was a Miami Dolphins fan, as is his wife, and they would be sure to watch the games together any time they were televised. They also enjoyed time outdoors together, especially for birdwatching. Marc was devoted to his family - his wife, and their 2 cats, Summer and Autumn, and their canary, Coco. He will be deeply missed by all of them.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5 at 2:00 pm, in Calvary Chapel of South Jersey, 1210 Hessian Avenue, West Deptford, NJ. Burial will be held at a later date.
