OOPPS...Had 2 friends who I served on the Northampton with...one was Scott Boli and the other was MARCEL DALVERNY...He slept in the rack above mine...wecwete once caught in a locked compartment and 2 marines ordered us out...when they found out I was getting a haircut from my barber 'Marcel' all was forgiven...when I left the shop I was transferred to the NAVAL ACADEMY in Annapolis and finished my tour there. We did hooked up once after the service...miss him good friend

I met Scott at tbe NAVAL ACADEMY where I was transferred after leaving the USS NORTHAMPTON...I had no idea we both served on the 'Grey Ghost of Narragansett Bay' at the same time. He took me around the base to check in on my first day...he was driving a little MG convertible whose doors didn't open...easy climb though...sorry to hear of his passing...he once visited me in my hometown of Tiltonsville in Ohio...good shipmate/friend

We will miss you, friend

To Marcels family and friends, my name is Leigh Ann and Marcel was a great man. I visited him during his last days and will continue to feed his cats for him, he truly cared for them and it was my honor to know him. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man

Eugene, Nancy and Marcella. Sending love to each of you. I'm so glad I was able to connect with Marcel and the rest of you. It means a lot to me. I will always be grateful for the memories we were able to make through our phone conversations. Much love, Deanna Lou Favand

One of my dearest Florida friends, I´m from PA. , Marcel will be truly missed by me. Oh the many hours we spent talking when I was visiting my sister Mary Temarantz who lived 2 houses down the street from him. We would always eat at Steak n Shake and he´d always let me use his vehicle to go shopping. What a great guy who I will greatly miss on my Florida trips. RIP MY FRIEND. XOXO

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Marcel. When my husband David and I moved to Ormond in 1984 Marcel was our first neighbor and friend. He was always there to help when needed. We both loved the abandoned cats in the neighborhood and made sure they had food and water. The stories he told about his experiences in life were facinating. He will be greatly missed. Marcella please call me when you have the time. Mary T.

Gene, Nancy, and Marcella, We were sorry to hear the news of your brother´s passing and we wish to extend our sympathy and understanding to all of you. It is our hope that fond memories of past happy, loving times together will carry you through this time of loss and grief. Love,
