Marcel P. "Marcy" Hufendick

Marcy was a care-giver. She spent her professional life trying to uplift others. When I was at Parkside, I would send troubled students to her knowing that they would find help and compassion. We should all aspire to follow that example. She was a wonderful person and a good friend.

Marci is a spirit that will live on every time a former client says what would Marci say, or someone will smile and think of her kindness. Marcy and I served on the Women And Children´s Horizon BOD for many years. We became friends 30+ yrs. ago on that Board and remained friends in all of our interactions since. She had the capacity of reconnecting, like no time had passed. What a lovely, committed woman she was.

My condolences to Marcys family. She will be missed and made a beautiful impact on anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She became a dear friend and my sister in God. May she rest in paradise

What an amazing woman! She was my counselor when I was a student at Parkside and helped me navigate through some difficulties in my life at the time. Years later, she was my peer and colleague in the Human Services world. She sincerely cared about people! She will be missed.
