I was very sad to hear of Marcel's passing. I met him when he came to give a talk at my graduate school in the late 1970's while he was still at Sick Children's in Toronto, and every time I would run into him at a conference over the following years, he remembered me, and was always kind and encouraging regarding my work and our discussions about the brain. This continued when he moved to Boston where I had the privilege of continuing these sorts of discussion randomly over the years. I...
