On Tuesday, April 11, 2006, Marcel Monroe Swann of Upper Marlboro, Maryland suddenly departed this life for one eternal.
Marcel was born on March 22, 1973 to Mary Elizabeth Swann-Robinson and Thomas Wendell Harley. Marcel was married to Mulaika Kinney on May 26, 1995. From that union was born three children, one daughter, Madria and two sons, Marlin and Marcus. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Leroy Swann and grandparents Mary and Melvin Harley.
In addition to his wife, children, and parents, Marcel also leaves to cherish his memory his dad, Joseph Ernest Robinson, brother Jason Eric Robinson, grandmother Elizabeth Irene Swann, Godchild Jerome Thompson, mother in-law Rebecca Kinney, brother in-law, Malik Kinney, father in-law Allen Kinney, adopted dad, James Henderson, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Marcel was a devoted, hardworking father, husband and son. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to tease others and make them laugh. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Marcel was a very special person and truly one of a kind. He never complained and would often go out of his way to help others. He was a diehard Redskins fan and would always stick up for his team whether they were winning or losing. Marcel enjoyed spending quality time with his wife and children especially when playing video games, football, and riding dirt bikes with his sons.
Marcel touched so many lives during his 33 years with us and will truly be missed by all. But, we know without a shadow of a doubt that he is now safely home with his Godly
His services took place on Saturday, April 15th at Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., Pomonkey, Maryland. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Pomfret, Maryland.
