Saphian, Marceline, age 93, passed away May 12th after a brief illness. Preceded in death by her son David and husband Russell, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Melissa (Tony) Cheevers, and three grandchildren she adored, Alex Gorsuch, Eliot Saphian and Olivia Saphian, dear brother Walter (Marilyn) Williams and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marcy worked alongside her husband in their optometric office, Ballwin Eyes Associates for over 45 years. She was active in her church Des Peres Presbyterian for 26 years and most recently at Eliot Unitarian Chapel. She was a member in good standing with the Saint Louis Artist Guild for over 50 years and has made many wonderful friends within the art community. Marcy will be remembered for her kindness and generosity and love for her family and friends.
Services: There will be a private burial for the family on Monday, June 12th at Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception at Eliot Unitarian Chapel, 100 S. Taylor in Kirkwood, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Humane Society of Missouri, ASPCA, or Southern Poverty Law Center.
