Marcella R. Davis

JANESVILLE- ---Marcella "Marcie" R. Davis, age 84, of Afton, passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Janesville on Sept. 28, 1927, the daughter of Edward and Lydia (Zahn) West. She was united in marriage to Myron F. Hilts on Aug. 23, 1946, in Belvidere, IL, and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1958. Marcella married D. Earl Davis in Janesville on April 7, 1962. She had been employed by Chrysler until her retirement in 1992, and was a member of the UAW Local 1268. Her favorite hobby was making cards for family and friends and having coffee with the senior citizens group in Beloit. She is survived by her husband, D. Earl "Corky" Davis; 4 children: Connie (Jim) Schroeder, Sharon (Bill) Zitzer, Michelle Walker all of Janesville and Arthur Davis of Madison; 4 step children: Judy (Jim) Hulbert of Belleville, Sally (Bob) Johnson and Don Davis both of Janesville and Scott Davis of Belleville; 3 grandsons; 6 granddaughters; 12 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; a sister, Phyllis Menz; and her beloved Boston Terrier, Barney. Marcie was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Myron Hilts; daughter, Sandra Hilts Hamil; and brother, Don. No Services will be held at this time per her request. Lasting memorials may be made to Beloit Regional Hospice. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
