Marcella T. (Grondin) Longobardi, 96, a native of Chicopee and a former resident of Ludlow and Agawam, passed away on April 15, 2025. The daughter of the late Raphael and Pauline (Tromblay) Grondin, Marcella was born on September 18, 1928. Marcella was an up-beat, self-motivated woman. She began her professional career in banking and later turned her talents to real estate. Marcella worked for several area firms, retiring from Park Square Realty in 2012, where she considered many of her colleagues her second family. Marcella leaves her sons, Ralph Hicks and his wife, Christine, of Spencer, MA, Robert Hicks and his wife, Roxanne, of Ludlow, MA, and a daughter, Marcella Fitzgerald and her husband, William, of Monson, MA, three grandsons, Colin, Anthony, and Joseph, a granddaughter, Lisa, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Longobardi, a son, Thomas Joshua Hicks, and two of her grandsons, Gerard Hicks and William Fitzgerald. The family would like to thank the staff at Care One in Northampton, as well as New England Hospice Care for their compassionate care and kindness. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 to 11:00am on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA, with burial to follow in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, in West Springfield, MA.
