I remember Marcia always, ever in my thoughts. Ed, if you read this, I have fond thoughts of you as well. Funny, talented. She performed in a lot of my theater works. Especially remember her as a crazy bag lady in my play "Not on Christmas Eve" and as a shrewish mother in an adaptation I wrote of "The Mandrake" both at the Westide Theater under the direction of pals Doug DeVita and Fred Mann (respectively). She was a powerhouse of energy and good humor, always upbeat and fun, fun, fun!

Marcia and me at the 1999 TRU Love Benefit, where she sang for us. Behind her is Broadway star Christanne Noll. I'm at her side.

I only just found out that we lost our friend Marcia. I guess living up in Manhattan, I'm really out of touch. Gary and I wish we had known sooner, and now I guess I know why her phone number hasn't been working. Of course I will remember her singing my songs, but more than anything I will remember her laughter, her joy and her unwavering optimism. She had such a strong, nurturing spirit and a great big heart. Maybe she's getting that piano tuned up there. (She knows what I mean.)
