Not sure what to say?

I'm saddened by Marcia's passing. Marcia was a generous, energetic volunteer at Friends of the Brooklyn Library book sales - showing up early with her gardening gloves and staying late to put books away. She always provided thoughtful, thought-provoking, spirited comments at the book discussions. We enjoyed catching up with her at Brooklyn Senior Center lunches and dances. What a fighter and gracious lady! Will remember Marcia and think of her often. Condolences to the family.

I knew Marcia from book club at the Brooklyn Library and soon learned that she lived in the building next to mine. We had been exchanging email since she moved, but as I realized how long it's been since she responded, I checked online to see if my suspicions were correct. I am so sorry to hear she has passed. In our book discussion, we sometimes had very different opinions on things, but in the last year or so, we realized we had more views in common than we thought. She will be missed and...

I can't believe she is gone. She was such a fighter, so strong, in mind, body, and spirit. One of my favorite clients. I will never forget the kindness she showed to me and my family; although I was her caregiver. God rest her soul. I will miss her greatly... and forever hold our memories, as not just her "caregiver" but as friends.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear that Marcia has passed. I knew her in the 60s and thought highly of her. She was a gentle and kind woman. I have thought of her several times. My condolences. Marsha Collins

To the Gallo family.
May the God of all comfort and the love of family and friends console your hearts today and in the days ahead

I remember Marcia while working on social issues in Brooklyn, NY together. She was a very dedicated, intelligent and insightful comrade. I especially admired how she could tackle tough issues with such calm and clarity and still manage to smile. She will surely be missed.

Marcia and I spent a number of years working in a small publishing house in New York. Marcia was always encouraging when our busy work schedule and the daily grind of living in New York became gruesome. She and I became friends and experienced the height of the women's movement together. She will be missed.
