Dearest Laura and family,
My heart goes out to all of you in the loss of your loved one, Marcie. I can somewhat relate to your deep sorrow as I lost my wonderful son in August of 2001. Please find comfort in knowing that others are thinking of you and feeling your pain.
Very fondly,
Carol Leet (former Henry Clay H.S. guidance counselor)

It seems as though God takes the best of us first. I will always remember Marcie's kind smile at the DZ house at UVA. You could see how caring and beautiful she was through that smile alone. My most sincere condolences to the Thomason family and to Cutchin. May your memories help you through the rough times.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have experienced losses both anticipated and unexpected. As with me, I am sure your loss is emotionally stressful for you and your family.
Your grief may ebb and flow. It has been said that each of us has this well deep inside of us that can be filled to the brim with grief. Every time we cry, we empty out...

I was deeply saddened to look at the Herald-Leader upon returning from out of the country to read about this terrible tragedy. I was even more saddened to see Marcie’s name, the only one I recognized. Though I hadn’t been in contact with her since moving to CT from Lexington in middle school, I attended Cassidy & LTMS with her and remember her vividly. It seems she grew up to be an amazing woman, for which her family should be proud. I offer my most sincere condolences on your loss, and...

Barbara, you and I worked together at DDF. I know how much losing Marcie hurts, since I lost my wonderful soulmate to cancer 3 years ago. I am so sorry.
