Not sure what to say?

We went to LSU football games together and celebrated his Ph.d from U.T. Austin. May God bless his soul and his family

Dr. Ashford was truly a one of a kind professor. He used to take walks with me around Hewson Hall whenever I had science-y questions and he would always turn them into a funny life lesson. One time he even offered to buy me a choco taco (one of his favorite on campus snacks) while we talked about relating thermodynamics to cooking. He was so smart and impressively wise and I always enjoyed being in his class. I´ll miss you, Doc.

Dr. Ashford was a great mentor and advisor during my time in ARA. He challenged us to think big. He helped us get the space we needed on Campus to create rockets. Whenever we had questions he was always willing to lend an ear and offer suggestions. No matter how many roadblocks we had, Dr. Ashford always believed and pushed us to go farther than any of us thought were possible as students. Best wishes to Dr. Ashford's family during this time as I send my prayers for strength and peace over...

I was so shocked to hear of the passing of my dear friend. We all grew up together on McHost Rd. in Zachary. I last saw him in July at his dad's house. We are truly going to miss you Marcus. May God continue to Ashford's family. Our prayers goes to kids and the family as well. RIP Dr. Marcus Ashford Ray (Roy) & Gigi Neff

I did not personally know Marcus but i knew of him. We were in the same class for Latin (two years). Very sad to hear of his passing. My heartfelt condolences to the family...

I am so sad to hear that Marcus has passed. I graduated high school with him and remember he was such a great and smart guy. He had one of the brightest smiles. My heart goes out to his family.
