What a loss to us all. I only learned of his paying today in "From the Mountain." He was always there when anyone needed him. He and his family even moved us into our house at seminary. He certainly lived his faith and ministry everyday. I will always remember him in love and appreciation.

I always looked up to and loved Marcus, from meeting him when we visited Sewanee as prospective students at the same time, through sharing classes and working together on projects at my first home, and seeing our families grow together. He impressed me with his ministry while we were students and I am sure had a powerful ministry over the last 12 years as well. Our Church is diminished without him. But thanks be to God that he is part of that great cloud of witnesses that surrounds us...
