Not sure what to say?

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Mr Marcus Dawson..."Oreo", it was a pleasure knowing you. Track season couldn't have been more fun without you as my pole vaulting buddy. I'm only sorry i didnt keep in touch like now i wish i would have.I know you're in a better place and I know you'll look in on those you love. You will truly be missed and forever remembered. ~God Bless~

I would like to thank all of our family and friends for all the prayers and support we have received during this time. It has helped us so much to know how loved Marcus was and how many lives he touched during his journey with us. I am very proud of the positive impact he has had on so many lives as well as what a "great" son he was. No parent could be more proud than I am for the man he became. He will always be missed and loved by us all but I know he would want us to remember his smile and...

There's just simply NO words that can COMPLETELY describe Marcus. To put it simply, he was one of the greatest young men to ever walk this earth and we ALL lost a piece of our hearts when my cousin "Oreo" left us. We'll miss you Marcus. My prayers and love go out to you, Aunt Peggy, Byrd, Ashley, and Grandma (and the rest of the family). I love you guys!
Love,
James

Dear Marcus,
I just now found out that you are no longer here with us, but you are in a much better place. Coach Lewis and I loved being your coaches. You always tried anything we asked you to do and you were a true overachiever. The pole vault is so difficult but you did it with such a great attitude. He and I talked about how you always said you were getting ready to go to Harvard...You are the type of young person that inspires me to continue teaching and coaching. For that, Marcus, I'm...
