Not sure what to say?

Marcus and I spent what must have been countless hours together at NCSSM, first as classmates in Intro Chinese, and then as friends. Probably one of my core memories from high school is all of us fumbling our way through elementary phrases, and laughing our heads off at each other’s pronunciations. Wicked talented guy too, I can’t even remember all the times he helped me on group projects.

Marcus always had this funny way he’d say my last name and no matter how far away I was, if I...

Dear The Fewell Family,

We are deeply saddened to hear about Marcus' passing. Our time spent with Marcus during our summer school was filled with warmth and laughter, and the memories we created together will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We want you to know how much Marcus meant to us. In the short time we knew him, he brought so much positivity and light into our lives, and we are truly grateful to have shared those moments with him.

We love you so much and your physical presence is truly missed. Grandma Doris

We were heartbroken to hear about the loss of Marcus. He was an amazing individual. He was an intelligent scholar, a leader amongst his peers, and genuinely a very nice young man.

We pray that his bright memories will comfort his family because I know that we will remember him for all his wonderful contributions to his community.

May God comfort you today and in the days to come.

I was paired with Marcus at NCSSM as his “senior sibling.” Although we weren’t exactly close, the few times we did hang out were cherished moments.

I remember seeing myself in him: a kinda shy kid who was eager to learn and curious about his surroundings. Because of this, I’ve always felt an unspoken connection to him.

Fast forward a year or two, I was happy to see that we had ended up at the same university. We spoke briefly here and there, but always made sure to at...
