Not sure what to say?

Dear Hunt and Perry Families,

We are saddened by the loss of Marcus, as we know how loved he was by his family and friends.

Marcus was a bright spirit who will be greatly missed.

Sincerely,
Tammy and Brian Thigpen

Please know that your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I went to school with Marcus briefly over 20 years ago and haven't seen him since. After all this time... seems like I would have forgotten. But I saw Marcus' photo and immediately remembered his smile.

I'm very sad to hear this news but I am inspired by all of the wonderful things I've read about Marcus in the paper.

To his family and friends, may this difficult time be filled with good memories and smiles....

Although it has been many years since I last visited with Marcus and the Hunt family; as kids, Marcus and I were friends once upon a time. It is with a heavy heart that I learn of Marcus' passing, however I will rejoice in his memory as I recall two children at relentless play. Those young and carefree days carry a special place in my life.

Dear Stacey & all the Hunt family, Please know that my heart aches for you all and I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around you and will give you peace.

Please know that you have hundreds of friends that care deeply for you all across the country. I am just one of them and I will keep you and your precious children in my thoughts.

I was so shocked to hear of the death of Marcus, yet so grateful I got to know him at St. Clement's and to have him as a friend. He was always so considerate and friendly – and so funny – and all of us who were fortunate enough to have known him will always remember that.
Although I had lost touch with him after St. Clement's, I was so glad I got to publicize his great endeavors, which sparked a renaissance for El Paso. Such a great man.
