Marcus Ronald Mumford

I only met him once in Oregon, but I will remember him always as an exemplary defender of freedom. He bucked the established corrupt system to achieve justice. He did not back down. It matters how you stand.

I first met Marcus at a party at the
Snows' house in Provo. We became friends. He helped me address some securities cases I worked on, always with great insight. I followed his high-profile legal adventures in the news and sometimes talked to him about them. He always took a positive approach to them regardless of the circumstances. I saw him last at the Tenth Circuit when he capably argued the Count My Vote case. He was a great attorney and a great guy. I'm grateful I knew Marcus Mumford.
