Marcy Pohn Abrams

I attended Oakton Community College and met Marcy last October when I was awarded the Eugene and Marcy Abrams Scholarship.This scholarship enabled me to finish my studies and graduate in May. In an envelope, ready to send to Marcy, is a note and a picture taken on graduation night of my friends and me in front of the plaque with the list of winners of Marcy's generous gift. I am so sad to learn that lovely woman is no longer with us and because of my procrastination, I cannot thank her again...

We rented Marcy's house after our fire 3-1/2 years ago. I continued to see her around town , particularly in Sunset, and always enjoyed our conversations. She was an extremely intelligent and engaging person at every encounter. May all your wonderful memories of happy times in the past bring great comfort in the difficult and lonely months ahead. We are all so sorry as we thought so highly of her.
