Not sure what to say?

I learned of Mardrey's death via the Stony Brook University Crew Newsletter. I am a 1968 alumnus of the university and something about her first name clicked in my memory. I loved rowing for my three years at SBU; I was a stroke and co-captain in my Senior year. Mardrey visited me when I was in NH to visit my daughter and Grandkids. We went on a walk where she told me about her love of geocacheing. It was a happy memory I will hold in my heart.

Rand, I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed spending a little bit of time with Mardrey when she came into the office. I am unable to attend the service but I will be thinking of you and your family. Sincerely, Mindy

I always enjoyed seeing her smiling face and hearing her response as I asked her how everyone was...

My heart goes out to Rand, Krister and Ingrid over your loss. Alzheimer's disease is so terribly sad on many levels. May you be strengthened by happy memories together. Shelia Cardamone

Sending love to the family. I have so many fond memories of walking dogs and hanging out most afternoons with Mardi, while our dogs played. Hugs, Hermine
