Richmond………Margaret “M&M” Moyer, age 68 of Richmond, died Saturday, February 17, 2024 at The Virginia Home in Richmond.


Born August 7, 1955 in Halifax County, she was a daughter of the late Gene Moyer and Nancy Hawker Moyer.  She was predeceased by a special friend, Janet “Sissy” Jorgansen.  Margaret was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church.  Her Greenfield Baptist Church family was a vital part of her life.  She was an inspiration to many people throughout her life. She delighted in her favorite things including peach water, the color purple, and peppermint patties.


She is survived by two brothers, Danny Moyer, and Glenn Moyer; one sister, Judy Jennings; one aunt, Dale Norton; her best special friend, Cindy Bristow; and her family she adopted, Rev. R.G. Rowland and wife, Margie, Corey Rowland and wife, Kellie, Mandy Bennett, Trey Bennett and Katie, Camdyn Bennett, Tyler Taylor and wife, Malorie, and Tanner Taylor and wife, Sabrina.


Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Greenfield Baptist Church by Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  


The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Greenfield Baptist Church.


In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Virginia Home Resident Fund, 1101 Hampton Street, Richmond, VA 23220, or to Greenfield Baptist Church, P.O. Box 875, Gretna, VA 24557.


The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Virginia Home for the love and care they provided to Margaret over the last 30 plus years she was a resident there.
