Margaret (Peg) Eileen Ann Mills Richetti, 90 years old, of Brick, NJ, passed away on February 27, 2022, in Orlando, FL. after an exceptionally long, adventurous and fulfilling life.

She was born on March 20, 1931, to the late Marie Ann Riggs Carlton and Charles Edward Mills Sr, in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from St. Mary’s Catholic High School, with honors, in South Amboy, NJ, she went to Marlboro State Hospital to work as a technician. While at the hospital she met and married the love of her life, Francis (Frank) Anthony Richetti Sr. who predeceased her in 2019. She graduated from Grasslands School of Nursing, with honors, in 1954. Peg was a lifelong learner graduating from Georgian Court College with a BA in Humanities in 1979.

Peg was from a large family, and the oldest of ten children. Her siblings Leon, Charles, John, Alice Switzer, Marion Macko and Susan Talmadge predeceased her. She remained close with her surviving siblings, brothers Franklin, Richard, and sister Eleanor Ruth Vankleeck. She grew her own large family of five children, Francis Anthony Richetti Jr. married to Margaret Mayer, Theresa Marie O’Donnell married to Timothy, the late Peter William Richetti surviving widow Rita Durkin, Margaret Ann Leonard married to Thomas, and the late Paul Richetti. Peg’s large family continues with seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Peg was a leader in her career retiring in July 1991 from the State of New Jersey at Arthur Brisbane Child Treatment Center.

Though her family was her strongest passion, Peg was also well respected in the community for her service at the school of Religion for Visitation Church in Brick when her children were young. She participated in her neighborhood community Shore Acres Club. She gave countless hours fund raising for various youth Drum and Bugle Corps throughout Ocean County. And was active in the Women’s Club Shore District, serving as Madame President. She and Frank enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and “Cruising” during their retirement years.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, September 19th at Brigadier General William C Doyle Cemetery in honor of both Peg and Frank followed by a family luncheon.
