Richard at St. John the Divine

Margaret was pianist at St. Barnabas
Church when I was a child and I assisted
at services as a pianist and remember
how the church was growing at that time.
I will long remember enriching experiences of those days and Margaret
was part of it!

Richard Ditewig

Margaret lived at Creekside Village when I came there to work. I remember being surprised at her years because she certainly didn't look or act my concept of that age. She gave the most wonderful piano concerts each year. We all looked forward to hearing them- and she was a perfectionist; took weeks to prepare for her audience.
Margaret had such a dry wit and a strong playful slap, esp. when she told me I was being naughty.
Margaret, you will be greatly missed.

Margaret lived just down the street for us for years, and we would talk when she was out in her yard. I once helped her dispose of a dead raccoon that was in the middle of the street and distressing her. She was a wonderful, warm woman, even as she got a bit confused about who exactly we were. I liked her last name so much I used it to name a fictitious auction house in my first book, Circles of Confusion.

It sounds like she lived a long, full life.
