Margaret Bardin Mason (Weeks), age 84, of Seymour and formerly of Murfreesboro passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was the daughter of the late Jesse Kirkland Bardin and Willie Bess Taylor Presswood. Her husband, William E. (Bill) Mason, Sr., died in 1962. Margo was born in Terry, Mississippi, and moved to Murfreesboro in 1952 to work as a copywriter for WGNS Radio. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1966 and spent a long career as a high school teacher in several school systems in Tennessee and Mississippi.
She is survived by three sons, Kirkland A. Mason (Cindy) of Christiana; William E. (Bill) Mason, Jr. (Cynthia Ann) of Greenbrier; and Taylor S. Mason of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a daughter, Jessica C. Weeks of Seymour; three grandchildren, Ethan A. Crane of Seymour; Jennifer Mason Warner of Murfreesboro; and Jonathan A. Mason of Nashville; and four great-grandchildren, London and Hunter Allen, Aubree Mason Davis, and Kane Mason. She is also survived by a brother, James H. Presswood (Linda) of Greenville, Mississippi.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 1 until 2 p.m. on Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangments 615-893-5151
