Berger

Hazel Margaret Liggett "Peggy" Berger was welcomed home by her Lord on February 5, 2020, just two months shy of her 98th birthday. She was born and raised in Kansas and later made Oklahoma her home, where she raised five children. She was an active member in her community, and after dedicating her life to Christ during a Billy Graham Crusade in 1956, began serving in her church. Peggy loved painting, singing, playing the piano/organ, building the church library, and studying the Bible. She was a resident at Spanish Cove Retirement Village for the last 20 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marley Berger; father and mother, William L. and Ruth Liggett; and siblings, Phoebe Trentman Lanum, Martha Simpson, and William "Pete" Liggett. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Fisher Fellows, Colorado Springs, CO; five children: Jim (Pam) Berger, Oceanside, CA; Jo (Frank) Simmons, OKC; Judy (Harry) Steele, Elk City; Janet (Terry) Armstrong, Stillwater; John (Courtney) Berger, Liberty, MO; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on February 26, 2020, at 1:30 pm at Metropolitan Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Metropolitan Bible Church, 7201 W. Britton Rd., OKC 73132, to be distributed on her behalf. A more detailed/personal obituary will be posted to the Bill Merritt Funeral Services website:
