Margaret Lucille (Miklos) Bollinger, 76, of Sioux Falls passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, peacefully at home with the care of her family.
Marge was born in Java, SD, on January 3rd, 1949, to Loy and Lucille (Gerady) Miklos. She was raised on the family farm south of Selby, SD, a place she always remembered fondly and returned to often.
On November 29th, 1969, Marge married Milbert “Sam” Bollinger. The newly weds started their family in Redwood Falls, MN, where they welcomed their son Barry and their daughter Jacqueline (Jackie). They later moved to Watertown, SD, where their third child Bradley was born. After retiring from her career as manager of the central kitchen for Watertown Public Schools, the couple relocated to Sioux Falls to be closer to their beloved granddaughters Cienna and Alyssa.
Throughout her life, Marge enjoyed crafting and creating beautiful items for her friends and family. Hand-embroidered art and lovingly assembled Christmas decorations adorn their homes, an enduring remembrance of her love and kindness.
Marge is survived by her husband Sam; son Barry (Mike Davis) of Minneapolis, MN; daughter Jackie (Al) Ries of Sioux Falls, SD; granddaughter Cienna Ostby of Rochester, MN; granddaughter Alyssa Ostby of Sioux Falls, SD; along with her sister Gloria, brothers Ron, Gary, and Tom as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Bradley, parents and brothers Ray, Jim, and Tim.
Funeral mass will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with family present a half hour before for visitation. Marge's family invites you to join them for lunch following the service.

I didn't know Margaret well but I met her at the RHS Show Choir events and competitions that our Granddaughters all participated in. I don't think she missed one event in town or out of town. Everyone should have a Grandmother like her. I was so sad to see that she has passed and I'll bet her granddaughters will miss her tremendously. Our deepest sympathies.

I send my condolences & I pray the peace & presence of God to enfold you as you grieve her earthly loss. It is written to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She is with the Lord & has reunited with Bradley as together they await the homecoming of those who have made Christ their Lord & Savior. Heaven is rejoicing her homecoming.
