Margaret Ella Carmichael

The Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, Inc., announces with the deepest sympathy the transition of Ms. Margaret Ella Grace Carmichael.

Margaret Ella Grace Carmichael born December 10,1957 to the late Betty Grace Payne in Mobile Alabama departed this life February 2, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Matthew Dewayne Carmichael, grandparents Annie and Willie Grace Sr., sister Sharon Ann Grace-Powell uncles Charles and Willie Grace Jr and aunts Daisy L. Kirksey and Dorothy G. Stallworth. 

She was a faithful and lifetime member of Faith Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran Church. Margaret was an active youth group leader and choir director for many years. She had a special love for children. She graduated in 1976 from Murphy High School and worked for years driving a school bus for kids with special needs. 

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Pinky Carmichael one son Marlon (Lasheka) Carmichael, grandchildren Jalina and Destiny Bennett, Miya Baker, Deja Lamar, and Latrell Carmichael one great-grandchild Ariya Burpo, God children Chalandra Simon Timmons ,Jemauri Storm Irby, and Alvina White all of Mobile, Al.  Sisters Georgia Grace Robertson Oakland California and Tameka Marsha Payne of Houston Texas. Aunts Barbara Simon, Carolyn (Eddie) Irby, and Gloria Jones. Uncles Alfred and Sammy (Michelle)Grace all of Mobile Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and best friend Vivian Myles.
